17 Analytics You Must Have In Your Media Kit | Cherie Bobbins

I see you begin blogging because you see so many other bloggers out there, making money from it and thinking that you want a piece of that super simple, cash cow cream pie. A few months, maybe even weeks, you come to realise it’s not as easy as it looks.

I see you, I hear you, I feel you, I’ve been you. Don’t ever forget that we all started with zero.

Hell, I started blogging about quilts! But you know what? I started, I learned, I listened and I leveraged at every opportunity I could.

I want to empower you and teach you to get so hot with the analytics you need for your media kit, that you’ll invite it for Friday night Netflix and chill.

Media Kit Masterclass

It is said that a media kit is like a business card for your blog. It houses all the statistics from your blog that you will find in the back end of Google Analytics and your social platforms. But did you know that if you are to regularly engage brands and proactively seek them out for business, then you really need two media kits? Yes two!

Why you ask?

Because when you are contacting brands, agencies or PR companies, particularly if you approach them and instigate the communication, you want to do all the heavy lifting, or in this case, heavy thinking for them. You want to give them enough information so they can quickly judge whether or not you are a good fit for them and any upcoming campaigns they may have.

So why not send your main detailed media kit?

Because people simply do not have the time or care enough to look in detail upon first contact. The job of your initial contact is to make them take notice, not have to think too hard, and care enough about the value you can bring them, to ask you for more detailed information.

Should you link directly to your media kit on your website?

Yes, but I would advise to link solely to your Snapshot one-page kit and mention in that document to contact you for further in depth details.
